Golf Simulator Coming to Eastern Kentucky's PGA Golf Management Program
Monday, 28 November 2011 00:00

EKUEKU's PGA Golf Management program will soon have a new golf simulator available to students. The new technology creates an indoor golf practice facility that helps students with their games and gives them an opportunity to learn how to use the latest technology on the market.

[Full Swing Golf] is the leader in creating affordable golf simulator technology for the teaching professional. The S1 Simulator was developed, engineered, and tested by golf professionals to provide the ultimate teaching/learning experience for both golf professionals and their students to grow the game of golf. With S1, instructors have the ability, in an indoor setting, to control the amount of data for their students. These capabilities include: club fitting, club data, and ball data. The S1 Simulator also applies true ball technology physics in replicating each shot taken in the simulator. This means a higher degree in accurate ball flight providing an exceptional visual experience while playing and practicing every type of shot. The Virtual Range, Chip, and Putt are some of the standard features offered only in the S1 Simulator.

Acquisition and addition of the Full Swing S1 Simulator to the existing compliment of high-end, industry specific technology, truly separates the EKU PGA Golf Management program from the others. The program currently houses V1 Swing Analysis as well as a Science and Motion Putting Lab.

Eastern Kentucky University's PGA Golf Management program is an option within the College of Business and Technology's Department of Management, Marketing and Administrative Communication. The College's School of Business is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). Graduates of EKU's PGA Golf Management program earn a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Marketing and the PGM option. Students receive a comprehensive business education that prepares them for responsible positions in the golf industry.
